FIRST STOP : Cielito manta ray sanctuary and sandbank
El Cielito (often referred to as "Little Heaven") is a renowned shallow sandbank in Cozumel, Mexico, located near the larger El Cielo reef. It is best known as a manta ray and stingray sanctuary, where the water is famously crystal-clear, shallow (approx. 1.2 to 1.5 meters deep), and warm, allowing visitors to stand in the water and interact with friendly, wild rays that swim around their legs.
SECOND STOP: Colombia and Palancar REEF
Colombia and Palancar are two of Cozumel's most iconic reefs, often visited together on snorkeling and diving boat tours. They are located within the Cozumel Reefs National Park on the island's southwest side.
Palancar Reef is famous for its massive coral formations and was popularized by filmmaker Jacques Cousteau.
THIRD STOP: Cielo, sanctuary of the starfish.
El Cielo (Spanish for "Heaven") accessible only by boat is a world-renowned starfish sanctuary and shallow sandbar located on the southwestern coast of Cozumel. It is famous for its crystalline, waist-deep turquoise waters and a sandy floor naturally dotted with large Caribbean cushion starfish.
